Dr. Neil Tanna is a Double Board Certified Plastic Surgeon specializing in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, breast, and body. Beyond his plastic surgery clinical practice, Dr. Neil Tanna is a leader, respected educator, and prolific author. He serves as Associate Professor and Associate Program Director of Plastic Surgery at Northwell Health.

Dr. Tanna is among a very small group of Plastic Surgeons in the world to have completed formal training in Otolaryngology, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, and Microvascular Surgery. After completing his medical training in one of the few combined six-year accelerated track medical programs in the country, Dr. Tanna spent an additional eight years training to become a Plastic Surgeon. He completed a full Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery residency at The George Washington University. He then pursued further training and completed a second full residency in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the prestigious University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). This was followed by a fellowship in advanced reconstructive and microvascular surgery at the Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery at New York University (NYU).

Dr. Neil Tanna is passionate about the art and science of Plastic Surgery. His work has been published in over 80 peer-reviewed articles in prestigious medical journals. He has been invited to present at over 100 national and international scientific meetings. He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the American College of Surgeons. Among several noteworthy honors and awards, Dr. Tanna has been listed in the Castle Connolly Top Doctors, New York Times Super Doctors list, and Newsday Top Doctors list. This is a prestigious honor that is reserved for the top percentage of practitioners that are true standouts in their field and nominated by their peers. Compliance Officer and may also be reviewed by other applicable departments.
