Dr. Katsigiorgis was raised in Long Island, New York. He graduated from Long Island University, C.W. Post campus, part of the honors program with magna cum laude in biology. He then went to New York College of Osteopathic Medicine where he graduated in the top 5 percent of his class. He was then chief intern at Peninsula Hospital Center from 2000 to 2001. He did his orthopedic residency at Peninsular Hospital Consortium where he served at chief resident from 2004-5005. Dr. Katsigiorgis is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who scored 2nd place on the National Orthopedic Board Exam. He was currently appointed chief of orthopedics at LIJ North Shore University Hospital, Franklin Medical Center.

Dr. Katsigiorgis joined Island Musculoskeletal Care in 2005. He performs minimally invasive knee replacements, minimally invasive hip replacements, involved in performing shoulder replacement including reversed total shoulder replacements. He performs arthroscopic sports surgery including anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and sports shoulder injuries including rotator cuff repair and instability surgery. He has been a guest lecturer, helping to promote medical knowledge in the medical community and has been a guest lecturer at the Eastern Osteopathic Regional Convention for the past three years. He is involved in teaching residents to help provide them with the knowledge and skills necessary to become orthopedic surgeons. He is the associate director of residency training at Peninsula Hospital Medical Center where he helps train a residency of 26 residents. He was voted Teacher of the Year in 2008 and 2010.

policies and procedures and/or federal or state law. Calls received by the Compliance HelpLine are most often
inquiries but can sometimes be reports of potential misconduct. Our investigatory process includes many methods to
determine whether any misconduct occurred. Compliance takes all calls seriously. Inquiries are reviewed by the
Compliance Officer and may also be reviewed by other applicable departments.
The Center’s Compliance HelpLine is available 24 hours a day, even days a week. Compliance HelpLine callers may
remain anonymous and those who choose to give their name will have their identities protected to the extent allowed
